An intermediate lifter has passed the point of needing to follow any one path. A beginner must build their strength and form, but an intermediate lifter can choose to begin to specialize in the areas of strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, or Olympic lifting. For the sake of this program, we’re going to focus on your core lifts, as your abilities are not at the point where you must compromise and choose between paths, but you may start doing so. However, your fundamental lifts are still just as important, and you need to maintain your overall strength and functionality. A generalized workout and diet program are provided below. Start thinking about what you want out of the gym so that you can know by the time you become an “advanced” lifter.
